Top Tips To Ensure Your Wedding Day Runs Smoothly

Everyone worries that things might pop up on your big day that may create problems. But, with our top tips to ensure your wedding day runs smoothly your days will do just that, run smoothly!

Create a Detailed Timeline:

Work with our wedding planner or coordinator to create a detailed timeline for the day, including getting ready, the ceremony, reception, and other events. Share this timeline with all key members of the wedding party. This way you can stay on track with the day. It’s good to have a detailed written description of what is happening throughout the day so you know what is happening and when.

Our Wedding Co-Ordinators will be with you throughout the day to guide you and ensure everything goes to plan.

Assign Responsibilities:

Delegate tasks to trusted friends or family members who can assist with last-minute details, such as wardrobe malfunctions, overseeing decorations, or handling any unexpected issues that may arise. When you have a supportive team around you, including us, helping you with even the smallest of details it can take the pressure off even if no hiccups arise.

Have a Plan B for Outdoor Events:

If you’re planning an outdoor ceremony or reception, have a backup plan in case of inclement weather. You may need to head to The Tudor Barn as your backup, so having a plan in place will help alleviate stress. We will always have regular conversations with you in the lead-up to your wedding to ensure you are confident that all bases are covered! Plus we will be keeping a close eye on the weather forecast!

Stay Organised:

Keep all important documents, such as contracts, contact information, and the timeline, organised and easily accessible. Consider creating a wedding day emergency kit with essentials like safety pins, stain remover, blister patches and plasters. It’s also crucial to have a little bag of makeup to be able to fix anywhere your makeup may have run or smudged!

Get Plenty of Rest:

In the days leading up to the wedding, prioritise getting enough rest and staying hydrated. Proper sleep will help you feel refreshed and energised on your big day. Not only will it make you feel so much better, but you will also be more “in the moment” on the day. As well as not having to worry about having tired eyes!

Designate a Point of Contact:

Choose a bridesmaid, groomsman, trusted friend or family member to serve as the point of contact for photographers, makeup artists and other businesses there and of course guests on the wedding day. This person can field any questions or concerns, allowing you to focus on enjoying your day.

Obviously our team will be here to support you throughout.

Eat and Stay Hydrated:

With all the excitement and busyness of the day, it’s easy to forget to eat. Make sure to have a nutritious breakfast and snacks available throughout the day. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, especially beforehand. Whether you need to have a goody bag of snacks and small bottles of water to keep you going, speak to your trusted bridesmaids and let them help you arrange this.

Lastly Have Fun and Be Flexible:

Remember that some things may not go exactly as planned, and that’s okay! Embrace any unexpected surprises with a positive attitude and focus on the love and celebration surrounding you.
