On The Big Day

"‘We really cannot recommend Blackstock Country Estate highly enough after hosting our wedding at the venue in September 2021. From the first time we visited Blackstock we knew it was the venue for us with their relaxed and professional approach immediately putting us at ease when making such a big decision. From the start, Blackstock worked with us to accommodate our every wish, from bespoke menu choices and luxury accommodation to table plans and helping us to organise a sunset photo shoot. Everything felt so personal and dedicated to us, with Betty in particular doing everything in her power to make our day run as smoothly as possible. It was extremely clear to us from the beginning that Blackstock Estate specialise in hosting weddings. From providing a golf buggy to drive us around the grounds for photographs, to helping us move our cards and presents into our accommodation at the end of the night, nothing was too much trouble. A significant proportion of our guests informed us that Blackstock had provided ‘the best wedding food’ they had ever eaten, to which we also agree! With 110 guests in attendance we were astonished to see and hear that every single meal was served to perfection. We really did have the most perfect day and the wonderful, polite, organised, friendly staff at Blackstock had a huge part to play in the day’s success. We truly had the most incredible wedding and really cannot praise Blackstock highly enough. "Having such a big wedding the food was the most expensive part for us and it took a while to get our heads around. Having been to weddings before and seeing the portions it all felt pretty disheartening. When the food came out on the day we could not believe that they were actually very generous portions and then upon trying the food we were blown away. The food was all delicious and guests throughout the day and since have said it was some of the best food they have ever had at a wedding and we agree very much with this. People also commented on how quickly it was served and how hot the food was considering the number of guests. All the waitresses and waiters were great and happy to help. "Nic and I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to the Blackstock team for helping to make our wedding day so amazing! The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The day went just as we’d planned and more, with the help of Paul Mitchell our Toastmaster. We would highly recommend him to any future couples looking to ‘tie the knot’. Both barns looked absolutely stunning with the help of Joanna from Inspirations Decor and lighting in the Tudor Barn for our ceremony by Dave Callaway from Unlimited Promotions. The food was AMAZING! All our guests said how delicious it was, which is testament alone as 10 of those attending the wedding (including myself) are chefs! There was more than enough food for the evening reception, glad we made the choices that we did - Best of British went down a treat! Special thanks to Marco and his team. It’s thanks to Blackstock that we came across Emily from Emily’s Mixing Bowl at one of your wedding fairs - oh my, delicious! The best cake that I have EVER tasted! She’s a must for wedding cakes.
