Indoors Or Outdoors
The wing of the Tudor Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships, with a reveal curtain, Chiavari chairs and air conditioning for hot days. Between May and September you can marry outside in the grounds instead, and we set out white folded resin chairs, an outdoor PA system and the registrars’ table and chairs.
Registrars are booked separately through East Sussex Registration at Eastbourne Town Hall, on 0345 60 80 198. If you would rather marry in church first, Hellingly’s church of St Peter and St Paul is a short drive away.

Staying Over
There is accommodation on the estate for close family and friends, plus the bridal suite for the morning preparations. Speak to us when you enquire and we will run through what is available for your date and your numbers.
This is the part that decides how the evening goes, more than most couples expect. When the people closest to you are staying on site, the party does not thin out at eleven because of taxis, and breakfast the next morning turns into its own small event.
The Catering
Our kitchen handles the food in house. Depending on the day you want, that might be a whole Sussex roast pig, a feasting barbecue served family style, champagne afternoon tea, or a traditional three or four course wedding breakfast with canapés beforehand. Menus are designed with you, tasted before the day, and built on local Sussex produce where we can. The Granary seats up to 120 for dinner under its cartwheel chandeliers.
