For more than 10 years, couples have been celebrating their special day at our country wedding venue in East Sussex. They have exchanged their vows in our beautiful barns, had photographs taken to last a lifetime overlooking the Sussex Downs and danced the night away to celebrate. With our meadows, lakes, (and even the odd deer), creating unique weddings is what Blackstock Estate is all about.
That’s why, despite all the challenges the world is facing right now, we still want you to have your dream celebration with us. We have been working hard to make our venue safe, meaning that you can enjoy your big day with added peace of mind. In fact, we have gone above and beyond to make sure that your guests are as safe as possible and able to enjoy your special day. Now that Blackstock Estate is totally prepared, we are opening our doors to weddings again. Our two restored barns and extensive grounds are ready and waiting to welcome you.
Needless to say, we have made a few changes. All of our wedding seating is now socially distanced and tables for the wedding breakfast host a maximum of six people.
We have also placed helpful guidance signs around our venue and have introduced Track & Trace. What’s more, our sprawling countryside setting and spacious barns (with doors that can be left open), make social distancing that much easier. We have also installed hand sanitising stations, plus introduced masks and gloves for staff where needed. So if you are looking for a wedding that is safe and protected — yet just as enchanting as you always dreamed about — then Blackstock Estate will make that happen.
Our venue is conveniently close to Brighton and Tunbridge Wells, but far enough from the hustle and bustle, to feel peaceful and serene. Our grounds border the Cuckmere River, which trickles through the valley and the views over the South Downs are glorious, with sunsets to remember forever.
Overlooking the grounds are our two rustically romantic barns, The Tudor and The Granary, where you can exchange your vows and have a magical wedding day. Both barns have been tastefully decorated yet can be easily transformed to reflect your individual style, whether that is fairy tale, vintage or dreamy bohemian.
Our catering is safe too with mouth-watering dishes created by our triple AA Rosette chef. We also have stylish and convenient guest accommodation available.
