Katie and Matthew chose Blackstock Estate for the stunning views and the fact that everything is on-site: for the ceremony, the reception as well as having luxury accommodation. They opted for a Friday wedding, which worked really well for them. A small intimate ceremony was chosen with great success with more guests joining the celebrations in the evening.
Katie and her bridesmaids all took advantage of our beautiful make-up room. This brings a perfect start to the day and really builds the excitement. Katie chose the delicious continental breakfast for herself and her bridesmaids, that went down wonderfully.
Our bridal room is available to any of the guests that are in need of having their hair and makeup done on the big day. Plus, with it being on-site there’s no hassle of travelling about – bliss
Matthew arrived later in the day and got ready in the Tudor Cottage, where the couple were to spend their first night together as a married couple. Emotions were high when the father of the bride gave away his daughter, but it was a delightful moment for everyone involved.
The couple chose a wonderful spring theme for their wedding with beautiful hints of greens and yellows from the array of sunflowers dotted around. It gave of such a positive sunny vibe to the whole day, which everyone adored.
Some amazing photographs were taken throughout; everyone looked fabulous!
After the ceremony the newly weds snuck away for some beautiful photographs. It’s a wonderful time for a newly married couple, getting to finally spend some alone time with your new Husband or Wife, even better when they are captured forever in a photograph. Photos were courtesy of Nick Harley
Meanwhile their guests were served a selection of canapes which everyone was delighted with.
Everyone was seated in our Granary for the wedding breakfast. They cheered to the announcement of the newly married Mr and Mrs Head. It truly was a joy-filled moment for everybody.
Katie and Matthew chose a lovely three-course meal that was thoroughly enjoyed by all:
Goats cheese, roasted butternut squash and artichoke tart, baby spinach and rocket salad, salsa verde dressing and toasted pine nuts
Chorizo Scotch Quail Egg, crispy pancetta, heritage tomato salsa and frisee salad
Slow cooked marinated pork belly, fondant apple, cassis red cabbage, wholegrain mustard mash and cider jus
Pea, Asparagus and saffron risotto, Parmesan crisp
Wedding Cake served as Dessert with cream & fruit
After the meal and funny yet heart touching speeches were finished, everyone ventured into our magnificent Tudor Barn.
The couple shared an incredibly moving moment as they carried out their first dance to the song of their nephew singing.
The celebrations carried on deep into the night with a well received buffet of hot dogs arriving at 8:00.
We really loved working with Katie and Matthew and we send them our very best wishes for their happily ever after.
