Christina and Andrew’s Sussex June wedding

Sussex June wedding celebrations don’t come more heartfelt than Christina and Andrew’s beautiful day at Blackstock Country Estate. Taking place on Saturday, 14 June 2025, their wedding was full of meaningful moments, relaxed charm, and thoughtful touches, all set against the backdrop of the East Sussex countryside.

A Peaceful Morning of Preparation

Christina arrived early at 8:00 AM to begin her morning in the venue’s dedicated bridal suite, with help from Nadia at Petal Blush. As final decorations and deliveries came together, Andrew prepared in the Tudor Cottage, just a short walk from the ceremony barn.

Family and friends helped bring the couple’s ideas to life. A sweetie cart from Sweet Dreams Candy Cart was filled with favourites provided by the couple, and oversized “A & C” light-up letters were set up for both the reception and the evening party. Their wedding cake, made by Cakes by Ashleigh, was delivered late morning, featuring three different flavours. The couple chose artificial flowers for the day, which worked well in the warm June temperatures.

Ceremony in the Tudor Barn

At 2:00 PM, Christina and Andrew exchanged vows in the Tudor Barn, surrounded by loved ones. With rows of chairs set out either side of the aisle and a dedicated space for a wheelchair user, the layout reflected a welcoming and inclusive approach. Music played from their own Spotify playlist, making the moment feel personal and relaxed.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a drinks reception with prosecco and Bucks Fizz, while children were offered fresh juice. Canapés were served shortly after: mini fish & chips, Yorkshire puddings with roast beef, and rosemary shortbread topped with feta and tomato. Each selection was adapted for guests with allergies or dietary needs. Christina and Andrew also took some time out for photographs with Colette Langton, making the most of Blackstock Estate’s countryside views with the help of the venue buggy. The ceremony and reception were standout highlights of their wedding, combining heartfelt moments with a warm and inviting setting.

Dining in the Granary

By 3:45 PM, everyone gathered in the Granary for the wedding breakfast. As part of their Sussex June wedding celebrations, guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal from the Platinum Package, beginning with baked Camembert or tandoori chicken salad, followed by slow-roasted pork belly or butternut squash lattice. For dessert, passionfruit posset was served with berries and shortbread, and tea and coffee followed in the Tudor Courtyard. Guests enjoyed drinks at the table throughout the meal, which added to the relaxed and celebratory mood during the wedding breakfast and speeches.

A Warm and Joyful Evening

At 7:00 PM, all the evening guests joined the celebrations. The party moved into the Tudor Barn, where Lumimix provided DJ entertainment and a photo booth, set up on the mezzanine. Christina and Andrew cut their wedding cake shortly after their guests arrived and followed it with a first dance surrounded by friends and family.

The mother of the bride, provided a cheese “cake” and charcuterie board, served alongside a fajita bar and chips for the children. This combination was a big hit, with plenty of choice for all dietary needs. Children enjoyed garden games while adults danced, took photos, and relaxed into the evening.

Evening Highlights and Golden Hour Moments

Throughout the evening, guests moved easily between dancing, chatting by the bar, and enjoying the photo booth set up on the mezzanine. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, a perfect continuation of this June wedding. Music played, laughter flowed, and garden games still entertained the children. As the sun began to set over the fields, many took a moment outside to soak in the peaceful surroundings and take photos with the last light of day.

A Truly Memorable Day

This Sussex June wedding was filled with heartfelt touches, warm family moments, and a calm, well-run schedule. Christina and Andrew brought their personalities into every part of the day, while the team at Blackstock Country Estate ensured that everything ran smoothly from morning to night.
