Christmas and New Year are one of the most popular times of the year to get engaged. There is nothing quite like the romantic ambiance of Christmas lights, gifts under the tree, a few glasses of something sparkly, as well as being with loved ones, to tip you over the edge and bring forth a proposal!
Whether it is a planned proposal or a spontaneous one, they are all perfect and really lovely in their own right.
And the next question is….how long will it be until you choose the date for your wedding? Some people, for one reason or another, will opt for a long engagement and that is absolutely fine. Circumstances could be that some may not be able to commit to dates, bookings etc. Not yet anyway.
The date is one of the first things to decide on, or the month at the very least, if you can be a bit flexible. Most couples have a month in mind when they first start looking, as well as the year obviously!
If you are completely caught up in all the excitement of your new engagement and you want to get the ball rolling, then now is the time to do it! Get all the initial bookings made, or at least start to look.
