Samantha & Matthew’s wedding at Blackstock Estate was truly one to remember, it was the perfect July wedding. With elegant summer features and beautiful pink tones throughout, it really was one of the most magical days. Here is how their special day went.
This day to remember started with the beautiful bride arriving at 9 am to enjoy a continental breakfast in the bridal suite and get her makeup and hair done by her wonderful friend Chelsey. Samantha spent her morning with her bridesmaids, enjoying this time together before the ceremony began. Samantha’s hair and makeup were perfect. She went with a soft glam look to match the bright summer aesthetic. Her beautiful bridesmaids had similar make up to complement Samantha perfectly.
The Ceremony began at 1 pm and was set in The Tudor Barn. Decorated with white decorations and green foliage around the seats, the barn gave off the most gorgeous, romantic ambience. The arches were decorated with more green foliage and twinkling lights making the room light and bright. Samantha looked incredible as she made her way down the aisle to Matthew who was looking very handsome in a navy suit and blush pink tie. This also complemented Samantha perfectly. The ceremony was filled with love and beautiful moments. It was truly one to remember.
After the ceremony, the guests were invited to enjoy some drinks and canapes. Whilst the guests took a moment to chat and appreciate some time together, the bride and groom slipped away for some photographs. The breath-taking photos really captured the love these two share. John Scofield managed to capture some beautiful moments. The couple were blessed by the perfect mid-summer weather.
After the canapes had been eaten and drinks were served it was time for everyone to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal. Samantha and Matthew decided to go with a classic 3 course meal which consisted of:
MEDITERRANEAN ANTIPASTI
Selection of salami, prosciutto, chargrilled courgettes, aubergines and artichokes, roasted peppers, marinated olives and sun blushed tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil dressing. Served with parmesan grissini
TRIO OF PORK
Slow cooked pork belly, fillet medallion and Olde English sausage, ginger apple compote, crushed new potatoes, savoy cabbage, crackling and pan gravy
PASSIONFRUIT POSSETT
Served with fresh berries and shortbread biscuit
Then later on in the evening, a delicious cheese board with local cheeses, biscuits, pickles, chutneys and seeded grapes was served.
Then the speeches were made before the DJ set up to begin the evening’s celebrations. The music was on as the evening guests arrived and it was time to truly celebrate this wonderful day. The happy couple shared an intimate first dance and then everyone began to dance the night away. The bar was busy and the smiles were endless.
As the evening came to an end the bride and groom made their way to The Tudor Cottage to enjoy some time together as newlyweds. The Tudor Cottage made the perfect place to rest their heads (and feet from all that dancing) and reflect on their magical day.
