Working with Rosie & Harry to create their dream day was an honour. They were such a wonderful couple to work with and we think their day turned out perfectly! This is how it went…
Rosie & Harry had everyone they wanted in attendance, whilst still keeping a close and intimate feel during the day. Based on the pictures alone it looked as though everyone had an excellent time. Everything just fell into place for the happy couple and the day ran smoothly.
Rosie and her bridesmaids took full advantage of our onsite bridal room to prepare themselves for their day. They each chose to have a delicious continental breakfast delivered straight to the room at 9 am.
The bride, the mums as well as bridesmaids and any other chosen guests can have their hair and makeup done here if required. Being on-site also means once you are ready, you can change, relax and don’t need to travel anywhere. Using our fabulous bridal room gives everyone the opportunity to get ready together and really helps to kick start the day with excitement.
Harry arrived a few hours later after getting ready at a local hotel.
At around midday, the happy couple’s day guests began arriving for the 1:30 ceremony in our Tudor Barn.
Everyone looked stunning! Harry sported a sophisticated blue check suit with light blue accents. It’s safe to say, however, that Rosie stole the show. Her stunning white bridal gown looked simply dazzling and she wore it with such elegance. It’s clear that all the stops were pulled out for their big day, by both parties!
Their emotional ceremony took place and the Tudor Barn was appropriately magical for the big day. A beautiful pairing of fairy lights and natural foliage running up and around the support beams created a really romantic magical atmosphere. Rosie and Harry, with some assistance from our team, did an excellent job of decorating and detailing our old barn.
After the ceremony, all the guests were invited outside to enjoy some drinks and canapes. With the guests occupied, the newlyweds explored our wonderful grounds and enjoyed taking part in some intimate photographs together. Taking full advantage of our fabulous Sussex countryside views, the couple were lucky enough to have fabulous weather and therefore some exquisite photos.
Once the Bride and Groom had finished their photoshoot, everyone ventured into the Granary and were seated in preparation for their meal.
Everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast and Toastmaker Paul announced the new MR & MRS TOMKINS. It truly was a joy-filled moment for everybody.
After canapes were enjoyed by all, Rosie & Harry chose a lovely three-course meal :
Chorizo Scotch Egg with crispy pancetta, heritage tomato salsa and roasted pepper dressing
Featherblade of Beef, in a red wine jus, served with roasted red onion and truffle mash
Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding smothered with a rich caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream
Once everyone had finished their meal and enjoyed the last of the heartfelt and emotional speeches, the Tudor Barn was filled once again for an evening of celebrations!
Rosie and Harry shared a romantic first dance to begin the celebrations and were then joined by family and friends for the rest of the evening on the dancefloor.
Once the fun and dancing had concluded the newlyweds made their way over to The Goat Shed, their luxury accommodation for the night. The small cottage gave the happy couple some time to be away from it all and really live in the moment, together as a couple. All of our on-site accommodation was booked for family and friends, making the journey back to their beds as easy as possible.
We really enjoyed working with both Rosie and Harry, and we send them both our very best wishes for their happily ever after.
