Well what can we say…this was the first Christmas food and craft fayre we have held in quite a few years and we honestly didn’t know how it was going to go.
Talking about it and advertising on social media really helped us to get the word out. Plus our fabulous signage that was situated outside the Estate, printed by local Print Matters.
But waking up on Sunday morning to lots of rain and flooding made us wonder if people would want to venture out! We were sweeping away puddles and the rain fell most of the day!
However, it didn’t stop anyone from coming out and for this we were so pleased!
All of the stallholders arrived nice and early which was great. We had set up the tables and labelled them for who went where. They all just got on with everything and created some fabulous displays to sell their wares.
So many handmade crafts were set up and looked amazing:
There were lots of food goodies as well!
From doughnuts, honey, cookies, brownies, freeze dried sweets, to fabulous gin and wonderful wines!
The day was a resounding success and we are really proud that we have reinvigorated this wonderful Blackstock tradition!
We have set another date in the diary for a spring craft fayre and are hoping to double the numbers in attendance! Hoping the weather will be a lovely sunny day and our guests will be able to wander outside as well.
We would like to thank all our amazing stallholders for coming to fill our barns. Plus we would also like to say a massive thank you to everyone who braved the weather to come and wander around our fabulous venue, buy some treats and also to find all the wonderful goodies we sell in our farm shop!
And also our wonderful staff; without their help on the lead up and the day itself, it would not have been the great success that it was!
Thank you to everyone who made our first food & craft fayre such a great day for everyone. On to the next one in 2023!
