On the 4th of August last year we celebrated Melissa & Robert’s Wedding at Blackstock Country Estate. They chose to have a stunning and really beautiful Game of Thrones themed wedding! It was the perfect mid-summer wedding and the weather reflected just that. In this case study you will read about the magical day they had.
Melissa arrived nice and early to get herself ready with her bridesmaids in our bridal suite. She had a beautiful natural makeup look with her hair up and a whimsical flower crown that perfectly matched the Game of Thrones theme. Melissa wore a gorgeous long-sleeved lace dress with a fun pop of pink Vans trainers to reflect her personality perfectly. All of Melissa’s bridesmaids wore pink to match the pink throughout.
At 2pm Melissa and Roberts’s ceremony took place in our wonderfully decorated Tudor Barn. Melissa looked incredible and Robert looked amazing in his grey suit with pink accents to match Melissa. They both said their I do’s and became husband and wife. The vows were said, the papers were signed and the nearly weds became newlyweds!
Now that the ceremony was finished it was time for the bride and groom to slip away and take some wonderful pictures together. They had the fantastic Sarah Cole as their photographer and she truly captured this couple’s fun energy!
Melissa & Robert then headed into The Granary to enjoy their delicious wedding breakfast which consisted of a beautifully crafted menu.
A diverse array of dishes, ranging from appetisers to desserts, awaited their enjoyment. Here’s a sneak peek at just some of the culinary delights they savoured:
CHORIZO SCOTCH EGG with crispy pancetta, heritage tomato salsa and roasted
pepper dressing
SOUTHDOWN LAMB SHANK, slow cooked in red wine, garlic and rosemary, served on
creamy crushed new potatoes
STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM SHORTCAKE, with a light Chantilly cream and plump
English strawberries, served on a pool of strawberry syrup
Now that the ceremony, photographs and delicious food were all finished it was time to dance the night away in the Tudor Barn and celebrate the newlyweds. Everyone danced, sang, laughed and wished the newlyweds the best for the future. Once all had finished celebrating, it was time to draw the night to a close. The bride and groom’s evening was not quite over yet, as they got to stay in our cosy and romantic Goat Shed.
