Kerry & James – 22 October 2021

Kerry & James’ Reception and Ceremony at Blackstock Estate

Kerry and James shared their reception and ceremony with us here at Blackstock County Estate on Friday, 22 October 2021. They opted for a medium-sized wedding, which was more intimate and perfect for them. Kerry and James also decided to take full advantage of our Tudor Barn, which they adored, for both their ceremony and reception.

Kerry enjoyed using our on-site bridal make-up room with James arriving a little later. The makeup room can be used by the bride, both mums, as well as bridesmaids and any other chosen guests. They can all then have their hair and makeup done here if required. Being on-site also means once you are ready, you can change, relax and don’t need to travel anywhere – how stress-free and relaxed!

The Main Event!

James arrived sporting a sophisticated grey suit with dashing purple accents. Both he and his Groomsmen all certainly looked the part. Kerry left her makeup room looking fantastic, her beautiful white bridal gown was stunning. Safe to say all the eyes were glued to the well-dressed couple.

Their ceremony took place in our beautiful Tudor Barn. With beautiful white flowers and fairy lights wrapped around the rustic support beams of the barn, it was a truly magical sight to behold. The decorations were only emphasised by the gorgeous candles and Chiavari Chairs the guests were seated on. The theme of purple was carried into the Barn with some lovely lighting.

Emotions were high when the father of the bride gave his daughter away; it is an event nobody will forget quickly.

Outdoor Photography

After the ceremony, all of the guests were invited outside where the newlyweds enjoyed some alone time whilst exploring our wonderful grounds here at Blackstock Estate. They took some wonderful photos, courtesy of Daniel Sherwood Photography and took full advantage of the fabulous countryside views we are proud to have.

Once the Bride and Groom had finished their photoshoot, everyone ventured back into the Granary and were seated in preparation for their meal.

The Menu

By this time, everyone was ready for the wedding breakfast and an announcement of the newly married Mr and Mrs Seehootoonrah. It truly was a joy-filled moment for everybody.

Kerry & James chose a lovely three-course meal that was thoroughly enjoyed by all:

Melted baked Camembert

Roasted tomato & basil soup, pesto oat cream, croutons

Blackstock’s Posh Carvery: Sirloin of Beef & Roast Turkey. Served with duck fat roasted potatoes, honey roasted parsnips, cauliflower mornay, selection of seasonal vegetables, pan-fried gravy and Yorkshire puddings

Sumac spiced aubergine ‘schnitzel’ with puy lentil tabbouleh

Apple crumble tart, soya vanilla ice cream and toffee oat cream sauce

Warm sticky toffee pudding

The Evening…

After all the food and the four speeches were finished, the Tudor Barn was filled for an evening of dancing and fun! With music being provided by the DJ everyone danced into the evening. The DJ really helped set the mood for the first dance, as well as the rest of their celebrations.

The happy couple cut their wedding cake, which was followed by their first dance.

We really enjoyed working with both Kerry and James and we wish them both our very best wishes for their happily ever after.
