Jessica & Kieran opted for a smaller, more intimate wedding on a Sunday with us here at Blackstock Estate, which worked perfectly for them. Jessica arrived at 7:00 and took full advantage of the on-site makeup room. This really does start the day with love and excitement. The bride, mums as well as bridesmaids and any other chosen guests can have their hair and makeup done if required. Plus, with it being on site there was no unnecessary travel stress for Jessica.
Kieran arrived slightly later at 11:00 and got himself organised in the lovely Tudor Cottage.
Like with all of our weddings, Jessica and Kieran had exclusive access to our Tudor Barn and Granary, which made a perfect location for their beautiful wedding ceremony and reception. The spacious barn allowed for guests to mingle, while fabulous photographs were taken by John Schofield.
The rest of the guests arrived at 12:30 for a 1:00 start to the ceremony. The groom sported a sophisticated grey suit with light pick accents that matched with the decorative flowers. Jessica looked stunning in her beautiful dress. It’s safe to say they both looked the part and complemented each other extremely well.
The father of the bride walked his daughter down the aisle and gave her away in an extremely meaningful and emotional fashion. Overall, the ceremony was breathtaking. There were fairy lights wrapped around the old, rustic support beams of the barn and beautiful ribbons were wrapped around the chairs that matched with the groom’s tie as well as the aisle runner. The whole barn looked truly mesmerising.
At 3:00 everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast and an announcement of the newly married Mr and Mrs Johnson. It truly was a joy-filled moment for everybody.
Jessica and Kieran chose a lovely three-course meal that was thoroughly enjoyed by all:
Asian Confit duck salad of cucumber, mooli, spring onions, mild chilli spiced pineapple, ginger hoisin dressing and a duck spring roll
Chicken caesar croquettes, crispy pancetta, romaine lettuce and spinach puree
Mixed Grill, fillet of beef, fried corn fed chicken, SAUSAGE (instead of lamb), caramelised onion mash, green beans, cherry vine tomatoes and red wine jus
Corn fed chicken supreme stuffed with sun blushed tomato and mozzarella mousse, wrapped in Parma ham, DAUPHINOISE POTATO, fine beans and pan gravy
Baked white chocolate and lemon cheesecake, fresh raspberries and lime curd biscuits
Triple chocolate brownie, salted caramel ice cream and dark chocolate sauce
After the food and speeches were all finished the Tudor barn was filled once again for an evening of dancing and having fun!
The newlyweds cut their beautiful cake, saving the top layer for them to take home, followed by their first dance.
The evening guests were all offered an buffet of Mini Fish and Chips in a cone or a Monterey Jack cheeseburger, which everyone was delighted with.
Lots of dancing, drinking, chatting and laughing occurred here, with the DJ playing into the night.
We really enjoyed working with both Jessica and Kieran and we wish them both all the best for their happily ever after.
