We are fully licensed for wedding ceremonies in our Tudor Barn. The main ceremony takes place in one of the wings of the barn, as it is a large L-Shaped space, full of character and delightful features.
Many of our couples choose to be married here as they love the fact everything is all in one place; guests and bridal party can relax, knowing they don’t have to travel between the church, venue as well as their evening accommodation – we offer everything to our guests!
During the summer months, we can also marry you in our beautiful grounds, which also makes for a wonderful choice, but if you would rather play it safe, weather-wise, then the Tudor Barn will be where you are walking down the aisle.
Our Tudor Barn is a historical building that dates back over 500 years to the 16th century. The building has been carefully restored to retain its original charm and character. We felt incorporating the traditional frames and structures with modern finishings and facilities was essential if a wedding was to be held inside the walls of our barn.
The Tudor Barn features a wealth of ancient oak structural timbers, arching over a surprisingly expansive space which provides room for dining, dancing and all sorts of entertainment. It also has an attractive, fully refurbished minstrel’s gallery above the bar, a highly unusual and interesting feature. The bar is very large and oak finished, serving a range of beers, spirits, wines as well as soft drinks. We can even prepare the ever growing in popularity – cocktails!
Our Tudor Barn provides a rustic and charming atmosphere like no other. The exposed wooden beams coupled with antique chandeliers, made from cartwheels, help create an intimate setting that is ideal for your wedding. Typically, you will have access to both our Tudor Barn and the equally stunning Granary Barn, only a short walk away. The Tudor Barn will be the venue for your ceremony and evening celebrations, with the Granary being utilised for the wedding breakfast. This allows for a seamless flow for every part of your day.
