In February of 2022, we held the ceremony and reception of Georgia and David’s wedding. Together we created an amazing atmosphere and one of the most magical days in Blackstock’s history. This couple was simply fantastic to work with and they were both so enthusiastic about making a day to remember. Based on what we saw, we like to think their dreams came true!
Georgia made the decision to have exclusive access to Blackstock’s onsite bridal suite and makeup room. This presented Georgia with the perfect space to prepare for the wonderful day ahead. Our Bridal suite truly kickstarts the day with excitement and the best thing is there is no rushing or travelling to venues once you’re dressed and ready!
The bride, mums, bridesmaids, as well as any other chosen guests, can have their hair and makeup done here if required. Using our fabulous bridal room will allow everyone to get ready together. This creates the perfect energy for the day ahead.
David arrived slightly later in the day after getting himself ready at home.
Their ceremony was gorgeous. Every detail had been accounted for and we tried our very best to create their vision into a reality. The use of flowers during their ceremony was fairytale-esque, a true sight to behold. Draped from the rustic support beams of the wing of the Tudor Barn were wonderful white flowers. This combined with the fairy lights was simply stunning. Not to mention the superb flower arch that brought everything together.
Georgia was beautiful in her white wedding gown. The overall look was one of grace and elegance.
David looked sharp and sophisticated in his navy blue suit. It was perfectly tailored and fitted him well. He also decided to add a touch of colour with a pink tie and matching boutonniere. The pink accents perfectly complemented the floral arrangements used throughout the wedding decor.
Together, they stole the show and all the eyes in the room were definitely on them.
After the couple made the walk back down the aisle the guests were invited out onto the courtyard where they were presented with a selection of canapes and drinks. With their guests occupied, the couple slipped away for a private photoshoot. We really try to emphasise the importance of this moment to all our couples. Getting to share a private moment with the person you have just married is a true privilege. What’s even better is that all these moments are caught on camera, making reminiscing that much more special.

Once their photography had concluded everyone was seated in the Granary Barn in preparation for the wedding breakfast. The couple did an excellent job of deciding upon their delicious BBQ-style menu. It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Here’s what was served by our in-house catering team:
BUTCHER’S SAUSAGES, served with caramelised onions and a selection of mustards,
CHARGRILLED TANDOORI CHICKEN THIGHS, Tandoori spices, cumin and yoghurt with spicy mango chutney, and cucumber raita
SWORDFISH STEAKS WITH LEAFY GARDEN HERBS, Extra virgin olive oil, tarragon, parsley, chive, chervil and dill butter, tomato and roasted sweet pepper relish
CLASSIC HOMEMADE COLESLAW
GREEK TOMATO AND FETA, vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh cucumber, Greek feta cheese, Kalamata olives and red onions, drizzled with fresh chopped oregano, virgin olive oil and lemon dressing
MEDITERRANEAN PASTA, Tri colour pasta spirals dressed with ripe sun-blushed tomatoes, plump Mediterranean olives, garlic, fresh basil, sweet roasted peppers, oregano and freshly shaved parmesan
ROASTED SUMMER VEGETABLES, Peppers, courgettes, aubergines, asparagus, red onions and fennel, slow roasted with honey and cumin until
caramelised and golden, served with a sour cream, lime and coriander dressing
RICH CHOCOLATE BROWNIE served with a dark chocolate sauce and sea-salted caramel ice cream
Once everyone had finished their meals there were three speeches performed. One by Stuart the father of the bride, one by David and another by Matt the best man. All of these speeches produced a flurry of emotions for our couple. It’s clear that there’s a really tight-knit bond between this group of family and friends.
Once everyone had finished their meals they were invited back into the Tudor Barn where a fully stocked bar was waiting in preparation for an evening of celebrations!
As the last of their evening guests arrived the party was officially underway. The happy couple cut their wedding cake and romantically followed that by enjoying their first dance. This was an extraordinarily intimate moment for the newlyweds, we hope they treasure that moment forever and remember it fondly.
When things finally came to a close Mr and Mrs Holland made the short walk back to our Goat Shed, their luxury accommodation for the night. Georgia would already be familiar with the small cottage after spending the night here the day before. Our tucked-away space offers the perfect location to properly digest the day that would’ve flown by.
Working with this couple was an absolute joy. The team at Blackstock wishes them all the best in their happily ever after x
