On the 17th of June 2023, we had the pleasure of hosting Gemma & Darren’s Wedding At Blackstock Estate. This day was truly magical and filled with laughs, love and some incredible photos! It was one to remember and we can’t believe we haven’t written about it already! The day was set out perfectly, the weather was sunny and warm and there were smiles all round.
Gemma arrived with her bridesmaids at 8am to our beautiful Bridal Suite where she would start getting ready for her big day! Gemma went for beautifully natural makeup with a smokey eye look to keep the whole style very sleek and fresh. Her hair was in a low slick back bun to keep the focus on her stunning eyes! She elevated the final look with some elegant pearl drop earrings. This really completed the timeless classic style that Gemma was going for.
Situated in our fantastic Tudor Barn the beautiful ‘nearly weds’ prepared to become ‘newlyweds’. At 1.00 pm the couple said their vows and enjoyed their ceremony before being pronounced husband and wife. Gemma was walked down the aisle by her dad and was met at the end by her soon-to-be husband Darren, dressed in a lovely black suit and bow tie, all adding to that timeless look they were after for their magical day. Very stylish!
Now time to celebrate with fantastic food, bubbles and family! Whilst the guests enjoyed some bubbles and chatted about the beautiful ceremony, the couple snuck off to take some incredible photos with the photographer Antony Hazelden. Antony captured pictures all around the grounds in many different ways. There are some incredible outdoor images and also some beautiful indoor pictures as the couple took their first dance. Carry on reading to see those breathtaking images below.
Once the newlyweds had some time to take some fantastic photos and enjoy some bubbles and canapes, it was time to be seated for their wedding breakfast and speeches. Their menu looked absolutely incredible and consisted of:
AROMATIC DUCK SALAD with a cucumber, spring onion, pickled mooly and, sesame seed salad. with a hoi-sin and plum dressing, pomegranate and
coriander
TRADITIONAL ROAST BEEF, medium rare beef served with roasted garlic, thyme potatoes Yorkshire puddings and succulent pan jus.
RASPBERRY AND MERINGUE NEST, filled with fresh raspberries and mango, served with a passionfruit coulis
This gorgeous menu was the perfect summer meal and all the flavours just complemented each other so well. There were delicious vegetarian options for all the main dishes.
At around 6.30 pm The Kellys cut their cake and took their first dance as a married couple. It was truly beautiful to see such a happy couple beginning their life together. Once the first dance was finished it was time for everyone to join in and get the celebrations under way. Gemma, Darren and all their family and friends danced the night away until it was time to say goodbye and settle into being newlyweds!
We had a wonderful time being able to host Gemma & Darren’s Wedding At Blackstock Estate. It was truly a magical, classic wedding and it was a delight to be able to help achieve their wedding dreams.
