Blackstock Country Estate is a beautiful countryside wedding and events venue set in the rolling South Downs of Sussex. We’re situated within a short 45-minute drive of Brighton hosting ceremonies, receptions and events in two cosy Tudor Barns. We’re lucky enough to be surrounded by enchanting lakes and open meadows; Our grounds are truly picturesque.
We have an extremely passionate team that has mastered the relaxed yet professional approach to your whole day, helping to put you at ease. We have an excellent in-house catering team that will ensure your menu is executed to perfection, as we believe it is the little details that matter most.
You may be very unsure of exactly what you want. Please don’t feel any pressure or worry about this; it is incredibly normal. The food on your wedding day is a huge decision so it’s understandable to be a little anxious over it. The team here are lovely; they work with you every step of the way, making the process a piece of cake.

Our fantastic chefs use only the finest of ingredients, sourced locally where possible, and will work with you to produce a bespoke menu to suit your vision of the day. The kitchen team we have are passionate about food. It’s a real privilege to have a catering crew like this at our fingertips; they are immensely valuable and we are grateful to have them as part of the Blackstock team.
Our front-of-house team are professional, extremely friendly and attentive. They will look after your guests to the point of spoiling them! We believe the service you and your guests receive is just as – if not more so – important than the food you’ll enjoy.

“Having such a big wedding the food was the most expensive part for us and it took a while to get our heads around. Having been to weddings before and seeing the portions it all felt pretty disheartening. When the food came out on the day we could not believe that they were actually very generous portions and then upon trying the food we were blown away. The food was all delicious and guests throughout the day and since have said it was some of the best food they have ever had at a wedding and we agree very much with this. People also commented on how quickly it was served and how hot the food was considering the number of guests. All the waitresses and waiters were great and happy to help. So a massive thank you to the chef and all involved in serving the food, it most definitely was worth the money!”
