Faye & George’s Wedding at Blackstock Country Estate

In late July last year, we had the joy of being the venue of choice for a beautiful event. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Faye & George finally tied the knot at Blackstock Estates. Their day was truly magical and will be treasured in the hearts of many for years to come.

Faye & George’s Ceremony & Reception at Blackstock Estate

This couple’s day was most definitely a success. From beginning to end, they maintained a loving and excitable energy, that rubbed off on the whole bridal party and Blackstock team! The newlyweds filled both their ceremony and reception, allowing for everyone they desired to attend. Despite the larger number, the day still felt incredibly intimate and was a true display of affection.

Faye’s Bridal Suite

To kick start the day off well, Faye and her bridesmaids took full advantage of the Blackstock onsite bridal suite and makeup room. This set the tone for their day with bubbling anticipation and excitement. Being onsite meant that once everyone had finished up, there was no stress of having to arrange transportation to the venue. Our bride simply changes, gets prepared and can relax with a glass of bubbly!

George also got ready on site but to honour the tradition of not seeing your spouse before the ceremony, he and his groomsmen all prepared in the Flint Cottage.

The Ceremony

Faye and George’s ceremony was a joyous occasion. The enchanted setting of our restored Tudor Barn provided a unique and magical atmosphere for the occasion. The warm glow of fairy lights hung from the exposed wood beams gave the ceremony an inviting yet intimate feel. Faye, walked down the aisle by her father, was dressed in a stunning white bridal gown that accentuated her beauty. Her makeup was soft and natural, giving her a subtle elegance on the day. George stood at the alter dressed in a chequered blue suit that fitted him perfectly. His soft pink bow tie added a delightful spot of colour and allowed his wonderful sense of style to shine through.

In an incredibly heartfelt moment, the couple exchanged vows and created an unforgettably magical moment.

Post Ceremony

Once they were officially husband and wife, everyone was invited out onto the patio area to enjoy a selection of canapes and drinks arranged by the couple. In the midst of the summer sunshine, their guests mingled amongst themselves as the newlyweds slipped away for a photo shoot with photographer Sarah Williams

Their catalogue of photos was stunning. Hand in hand the pair strolled through the picturesque grounds, their smiles as radiant as ever. A private moment allowed the couple to share some tender moments together. With help from Sarah, the couple were able to internalise these moments in the form of a photograph. We hope that Faye and George take the time to reminisce on this part of their day and use the collection of photographs to take them back to our grounds.

The Wedding Breakfast

When the couple began their return to the main site, the guests filled the Granary Barn and waited in anticipation. The father of the groom announced Mr & Mrs Cook to the room for the very first time.

Upon hearing this our in-house catering team began the final preparation to bring out the high tea-style meal. This unique option brought together the best of British tradition and refined flavours for all. The team ensured every need was catered to and offered a delightful service.

The main course of carefully crafted sandwiches, cheeses and chutney, complemented by a savoury cheese and onion tart and golden sausage rolls. Dessert was heavenly, featuring rich chocolate brownies, vibrant fruit sticks, zesty lemon drizzle cakes, warm scones with jam and clotted cream, and the timeless delight of a classic Victoria sponge.

Evening Celebrations

Once the touching speeches had concluded, everyone made their way back to the Tudor Barn for the remainder of the night. When the bride and groom’s evening guests arrived the celebrations began! The happy couple cut their wedding cake and romantically followed the moment with their first dance. As the sun began to set it cast a warm glow across the estate that allowed for some more amazing photos.

After an evening of dancing and laughter, the DJ began to wrap up the night. When all was said and done the couple made the short walk back to the Tudor Cottage, their luxury accommodation for the night.

All The Best You Two

We absolutely adored working with Faye and George. As individuals, they are incredible and as a couple, they will be unstoppable. The team at Blackstock wants to wish you all the best in your happily ever after.
