In August of this year, we had the joy of hosting Mr and Mrs Fieldwick’s wedding at Blackstock Country Estate. We loved every moment of working with this couple. You can see the passion we both shared for their day in the fantastic pictures.
Debbie and Tom’s day was most definitely a magical one. From beginning to end their wedding had a unique charm about it.
They opted for a smaller number of guests during the ceremony with an additional 100 guests arriving for the evening celebrations. This meant that everyone they wanted to be present on the day was. However, it still allowed for their ceremony to be kept more intimate.
The bride and groom had exclusive access to both the Tudor Barn and the Granary, which helped things run exceptionally smoothly.
Debbie opted to take full advantage of our on-site bridal suite after staying in-house at our nearby accommodation. She and her bridesmaids decided to enjoy a selection of croissants & pastries. The bride, mums, bridesmaids, as well as any other chosen guests can have their hair and makeup done here if required. Being on-site also means once you are ready, you can change and relax as you don’t need to travel anywhere. Using our fabulous bridal room allows everyone to get ready together and helps to kick-start the day with excitement.
Tom arrived slightly earlier after getting ready at home.
The day guests arrived at around 10.30am for an 11.00am ceremony.
Everyone looked fantastic! Debbie looked gorgeous in her pure white bridal gown. Tom sported a well-tailored navy suit with light pink accents. Debbie’s father Richard, who walked her down the aisle, was attired in a matching tux.
Debbie & Tom’s ceremony took place in the wing of our Tudor Barn. The barn had been decorated wonderfully and together they created a romantic atmosphere that tied the occasion together. Subtle fairy lights and green vines were wrapping up and across the rustic support beams, which helped create a genuinely enchanting atmosphere.
After the ceremony, guests were invited outside to allow the couple to partake in a wedding day photoshoot. This is one of the most important things a newly married couple can do on their wedding day. It allows the opportunity to take in the moment. Your whole day will feel like a dream, therefore, the value of getting the chance to slip away from the crowd and spend some time together should not be overlooked.
They had some amazing photographs taken by Jessica Bevan Photography.
Once the Bride and Groom finished their shoot, everyone ventured into the Granary and were seated in preparation for their meal.
Everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast. Abi, Debbie’s sister, announced Mr & Mrs Fieldwick into the room for the first time. The couple were met with a wave of applause and cheers. The happy couple did an excellent job of deciding on a menu that looked and tasted great; it was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
Chorizo Scotch Egg with crispy pancetta, heritage tomato salsa and roasted pepper dressing
Feather blade of Beef, in a red wine jus, served with roasted red onion and truffle mash
Strawberry Eton Mess
Once everyone had finished their meal and enjoyed the last of the heartfelt emotional speeches, they ventured back into the Tudor Barn.
Debbie & Tom cut their wedding cake, which was followed romantically by their first dance as a married couple. It was an extraordinarily intimate moment for the couple and one that will remain in the memories of everyone present.
As more and more of their evening guests arrived the celebrations only got stronger. The dance floor was flooded with the couple’s nearest and dearest as they showed off their moves.
When things finally came to a close, the newlyweds made the short walk to the Goat Shed, their luxury accommodation for the night. The small cottage gave Debbie and Tom some time to live in the moment and properly digest what happened during the day, as a newly married couple. All our on-site accommodation was booked for friends and family, making the journey back to their beds as easy as possible.
