For Cristina and Ray’s wedding there was loads of excitement for everyone.
They enjoyed their ceremony at a Church in Ringmer and then enjoyed their reception with us here at Blackstock Country Estate. The “happy couple” opted to have their wedding on a Friday which worked perfectly for them. Cristina & Ray had exclusive access to both our beautiful Tudor Barn and Granary, which helped the day run really smoothly.
Everyone arrived at around 2:00 pm to get the reception started. A delicious selection of Canapes were available to everyone. The Bride and Groom arranged for us to set up some outdoor games such as cricket and swingball on the gravel area outside our courtyard. This helped keep everyone entertained until the Bride and Groom returned from their photoshoot with Teri V Photography.
The newlyweds explored our wonderful grounds and enjoyed taking part in some romantic and intimate photographs of the two of them. Blackstock really does create some wonderful backdrops for our couples and they took full advantage of the fabulous countryside views, which we are so proud and grateful to have.
Everyone was seated in Our Granary for the wedding breakfast. They cheered to the announcement of the newly married Mr and Mrs Russell. It truly was a joy-filled moment for everybody.
Cristina and Ray chose a lovely three-course meal that was thoroughly enjoyed by all:
Chorizo Scotch quail egg, crispy pancetta, heritage tomato salsa and frisee salad
Goats cheese parfait, pain d’epice bread, pickled beetroot, balsamic jelly, raspberry beetroot puree and baby leaves
Sussex lamb rump, dauphinoise potatoes, ratatouille and rich jus
Tempura halloumi, falafel cake, roasted provencal vegetables and rocket pesto
Maltesers mousse in chocolate case, salted caramel nibs and honeycomb ice cream
Chocolate brownie, hazelnut soya ice cream, dark chocolate oat cream sauce
After all the food and the three speeches were finished, the Tudor Barn was filled for an evening of dancing and fun! With music being provided by the band ‘Oomphf‘ as well as a DJ. Together they really helped set the mood for the first dance, as well as the rest of their celebrations.
We really enjoyed working with both Cris and Ray and we wish them both our very best wishes for their happily ever after.
