On the 15th June 2023, we had the pleasure of hosting Charlotte & Sam’s Wedding At Blackstock Estate. This day was filled with laughs, love and some incredible photos! It truly was one to remember. The day was set out perfectly, the weather was sunny and warm and everyone’s smiles reflected that.
Charlotte was an absolutely stunning bride. She arrived at 8 am to our Bridal suite to get herself and her bridesmaids ready. Charlotte went for a beautiful glowy soft glam look with a gorgeous sultry smoked-out wing eyeliner, which complemented her eyes perfectly. Charlotte’s hair resembled a Hollywood glam wave which suited her minimalist bardot dress. Charlotte’s whole look was classic, elegant and glamorous. Charlotte’s bridesmaids joined her in getting their make up and hair done in our wonderful bridal suite.
Our bridal suite is the perfect space to get ready, have a giggle and enjoy some bubbles before your big day.
Situated in our fantastic Tudor Barn the beautiful ‘nearly weds’ prepared to become ‘newly weds’. At 1.30 pm the Frasers said their vows and took the first steps in their wonderful future together. The beautiful Charlotte was given away by her dad who walked her to her soon-to-be husband Sam. Sam greated her in a deep blue suit with a baby blue tie and white rose to match Charlotte’s bouquet. Sam didn’t miss even the tiniest of details, with his shirt having his initials embossed into the cuff.
Once the ceremony began to draw to a close, everyone made their way to the Granary for canapes and drinks. Whilst everyone was enjoying the nibbles and bubbles, the new couple snuck off for some photos by the photographer Jessica Bevan Photography. Jessica really captured this couple’s funny side and got some incredible couple pictures, group pictures and solo ones too. Charlotte and Sam chose to include some fabulous glasses for the photo shoot and they were a hit to say the least.
Once the newlyweds had some time to take some fantastic photos and enjoy some bubbles and canapes, it was time to be seated for their wedding breakfast and speeches. Their menu looked absolutely incredible and consisted of:
FRESH CRAB AND PRAWN TIAN, timbale of fresh Cornish crab and North Atlantic
prawns served with lemon dressed pea shoot and rocket leaves
SOUTHDOWN LAMB SHANK, slow cooked in red wine, garlic and rosemary, served
on creamy crushed new potatoes
BANOFFEE ETON MESS, incorporating bananas, toffee and crushed meringue
This delicious menu was perfect for a summer’s day, they started a fresh crab and prawn tian and then enjoyed southdown lamb shank for mains and then finished the whole meal off with a light but delicious banoffee eton mess.
It got to that time of the day when everyone had enjoyed a delicious meal and said their speeches. So it was time to hit the dance floor and dance the night away as husband and wife. As the day drew to a close and everyone had had the time of their life dancing and celebrating, the wonderful couple kmew it was time to say their goodbyes and head to the cosy Goat Shed.
