In the heart of early April 2023, Blackstock Country Estate transformed into a dreamy setting for Anna and Nick’s spring wedding—a day bursting with elegance, joy, and unforgettable moments!
As the clock struck 2:30PM, Anna, Nick, and their guests arrived from the church, greeted by the warm ambiance of an open bar and a delightful drinks reception. It was the perfect moment for the couple to unwind, soak in the stunning surroundings, and prepare for the festivities ahead.
After the party had settled, we kicked off the drinks reception with guests clinking glasses of Prosecco and savouring an enticing selection of canapés. From succulent mini rare steak skewers to delightful mini fish and chips, the culinary offerings were a hit. The vegetarian option—a delicious blend of Parmesan and rosemary shortbread paired with sun-blushed tomato and feta—ensured that everyone was catered for.
In the meantime, Anna and Nick stole a few moments to capture breath-taking photos on the estate grounds, with the charming Blackstock buggy ready for some extra snapshots, weather permitting. These photographs were taken by Charlotte Amy Photography.
By 4:00 PM, the atmosphere in The Granary was electric as guests settled in for the wedding breakfast. Best Man Thomas Broad brought the room to life, introducing the newlyweds to a wave of applause. The meal was a feast for the senses, featuring chorizo scotch egg, slow-roasted pork belly, and the pièce de résistance – a strawberries and cream shortcake. With thoughtful options for dietary restrictions, everyone felt included and cherished.
As the sun began to set, the celebrations flowed into the Tudor Barn, welcoming thirty more evening guests. At 7:30PM, Anna and Nick graced the dance floor for their first dance, a heart warming moment that set the tone for the night. The cutting of their wedding cake soon followed.
At 8:00PM, guests indulged in a lively evening buffet, complete with a gourmet burger stall and an array of sweet treats, including the couple’s favourite doughnuts.
With a DJ spinning the perfect tunes, the dance floor became a whirlwind of joy as guests celebrated the newlyweds. The bar called last orders at 10:45PM, and the music gradually faded by 11:00PM, signalling a sweet end to an unforgettable day. By 11:30PM, all non-resident guests had bid farewell, leaving Anna and Nick to relish a serene night in the cosy Tudor Cottage.
“We want to say a massive thank you for our beautiful wedding back in April 2023. Firstly, the staff were fantastic, we thank each and every one of you. A big shout out to Amy, who dealt with our (Anna’s) endless emails of amendments.”
“The food, where do I begin? It was amazing!!! There were many compliments on the food, ‘That was the best food we’ve ever had at a wedding’. The fish & chip canapés were also a favourite amongst our guests – one guest managed to help themselves to 7 portions!!!!”
“The day flowed just as we dreamed, and our photos show not only us having a wonderful time but our friends and family too.”
