Amelia & Mark Waudby – 25th March 2022

Amelia and Mark’s Ceremony and Reception at Blackstock Country Estate

Some beautiful photographs were taken for this wedding, courtesy of the wonderful Sarah Cole. Amelia and Mark shared their wedding with us back in March, earlier this year. It was such a lovely day and the weather was glorious. Everything seemed to fall into place perfectly for the happy couple on their day.

Amelia and Mark opted for a medium-sized wedding which allowed for more special people to attend but still kept it intimate. Amelia and Mark had exclusive access to both our beautiful Tudor Barn and Granary, which helped the day run smoothly.

The Bridal Room

Amelia arrived at 7:00am, where she and her bridesmaids took full advantage of our onsite Bridal Room. Using our fabulous Bridal Room gives everyone the opportunity to get ready together and really helps to kick start the day with excitement. The bride, mums as well as bridesmaids and any other chosen guests can have their hair and makeup done here if required. Being on-site also means once you are ready, you can change, relax and don’t need to travel anywhere.

After getting ready at home Mark arrived later, at 12:00pm.

The Main Event!

Day guests started to roll in at around 12:30pm for a 1:00pm ceremony.

Everyone looked fantastic. Mark and his groomsmen all sported matching grey suits with light pink accents in the form of ties, pocket squares and boutonnieres. Amelia left the Bridal room looking fabulous in her stunning white bridal gown. We think it’s clear that both the Bride and Groom pulled out all the stops for their big day.

Their ceremony took place in our beautiful Tudor Barn. The barn was beautifully decorated with white fairy lights and flower details running up and around the rustic support beams, it was a truly magical sight to behold. One of our favourite details was the hollow glass globes with flowers matching the accent colours placed inside.

Outdoor Photography

After the ceremony, all the guests were invited outside whilst the newlyweds explored our wonderful grounds and enjoyed taking part in some lovely photographs; taking full advantage of fabulous Sussex Countryside views.

Once the Bride and Groom had finished their photoshoot, everyone ventured into the Granary and were seated in preparation for their meal.

The Menu

Everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast and cheered for the announcement of the newly married Mr and Mrs Waudby. It truly was a joy-filled moment for everybody.

Amelia and Mark chose a lovely three-course meal that was thoroughly enjoyed by all:

Melted baked Camembert, infused with rosemary, thyme and garlic served with a plum and apple chutney, baby leaves and ciabatta

Southdown lamb shank, slow-cooked in red wine, garlic and rosemary served on creamy crushed new potatoes

4 warm sticky toffee pudding, smothered with a rich caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream

The Evening…

Once everyone had finished their meal, made by our talented in-house catering team, and enjoyed the last of the speeches, the Tudor Barn was filled for an evening of dancing!

After the newlyweds cut the first slice of their wedding cake they shared the first dance as Mr & Mrs Waudby.

We really enjoyed working with both Amelia and Mark and we wish them both our very best wishes for their happily ever after.
