We would love to welcome you here and take you around the Estate, showing you our wonderful barns, the luxury accommodation, as well as the beautiful grounds you can have exclusive access to, on your wedding day.
Our Tudor Barn is a beautifully restored 500-year-old Sussex Barn and is where your ceremony and evening ceremonies will be held. Combining traditional frames and structures with modern amenities, the barn features everything you need for a successful celebration.
Our barn is truly the most magical and romantic venue to be married in. With so much charm, along with personalised decorations, fairy lights adorning the beams and greenry as well as flowers, you will believe you have stepped into a fairytale (not the bad kind!)
Then for the evening celebrations, the surprisingly expansive space provides you with plenty of room for dancing and all sorts of live evening entertainment. It also has an attractive, fully refurbished minstrel’s gallery above the bar, a highly unusual and interesting feature. The spacious oak-finished bar offers a wide selection of beers, spirits, and wines. We even now have a cocktail maker – especially popular for weddings.
Everything is tied together with the ambience provided by large chandeliers crafted from antique cartwheels, while additional white and coloured lighting can be easily added to suit any theme.
The Granary Barn, the larger of the two, is a converted traditional barn, which accommodates up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast. With it’s rustic allure, featuring a sandstone floor and a vaulted ceiling adorned with exposed beams, the barn exudes character.
The enchanting ambience is enhanced by grand antique cartwheel chandeliers, casting a romantic light throughout the space. Floor-to-ceiling barn windows open up to a beautifully landscaped courtyard, allowing guests to appreciate the picturesque countryside and breathtaking views from the comfort of their tables.
An expansive mezzanine floor offers a delightful seating area for relaxation, as well as opportunities for entertainment such as a photo booth or capturing stunning photographs.
The estate itself sits on over 70 acres of spectacular countryside, that really complements our barns. Featuring lovely meadows, tranquil lakes and the beautiful Cuckmere River, your guests can enjoy sweeping views and pose for some wonderful photos. Enjoy a lakeside stroll and spot the variety of rainbow trout and brown trout that swim throughout the valley. There are geese, llamas and other animals that only go to enhance our Sussex countryside.
If after viewing, you decide that Blackstock is the perfect backdrop to your day, we would be more than happy to arrange a tasting session. Our in-house catering team will produce a range of options to ensure all our couples can make an informed choice for their wedding breakfasts.
And then to top it all off, we will show you our luxury accommodation. There are lots of ways you may want to book this and we will wander around showing you all the different options. Ideal for everyone, especially if guests have travelled some way to get to our Estate.

The Goat Shed, our self contained one bedroom “out of the way” luxury ensuite room.
The Farmhouse, with ample accommodation to suit much of your bridal party.
Our 3 bedroomed self catering cottage – that is wonderful for families.
