All Inclusive Wedding Venue South of London

Getting married in London is one option, but plenty of couples would rather swap the city for somewhere with a bit of countryside around it. If that sounds like you, Blackstock Country Estate is worth a look. We are an all inclusive wedding venue south of London, set in 70 acres of Sussex countryside and just over an hour from the capital. Two restored barns, on-site accommodation and an in-house team who handle the whole day from start to finish.

Why London Couples Choose a Sussex Venue

A lot of our couples live and work in London but do not want to get married there. London venues are brilliant in their own way, but they rarely give you room to breathe, and they almost never give you somewhere for your guests to sleep. That is where an all inclusive wedding venue south of London makes sense. You get the countryside, the privacy, the views and the on-site beds, and you do not ask your wedding guests to navigate a night bus home at 1am.

Blackstock Country Estate sits in East Sussex, surrounded by the rolling South Downs. There are lakes on the grounds, meadows in every direction, and deer that wander through without checking the invite list. It is the sort of setting Londoners specifically drive out for, and you get to keep it all to yourselves for the day.

Easy to Reach From London and the Home Counties

Getting here from London is straightforward. We are around 60 to 75 minutes by car from most parts of the capital, depending on traffic and which side of the city you are coming from. Trains from London Victoria and London Bridge run to Polegate and Berwick, both a short taxi ride from the estate. For guests flying in, Gatwick is under an hour away.

Because we are an all inclusive wedding venue south of London with accommodation on site, your guests do not need to book hotels in an unfamiliar area or work out return trains. They drive down, they stay, they drive home the next morning once they have had breakfast and a decent sleep. It solves a lot of the logistics in one go.

Everything Handled Under One Roof

An all inclusive package means you are not project-managing ten different suppliers. We cover:

  • The Tudor Barn for your ceremony, licensed for civil weddings and partnerships
  • The Granary for your wedding breakfast, seating up to 120 guests
  • A bespoke menu from our in-house chefs, built around your taste and budget
  • Licensed bars and professional front-of-house service
  • Evening reception space with PA-ready setup for live bands or DJs
  • On-site luxury accommodation for the two of you and your closest guests
  • A dedicated coordinator who knows the estate inside out

You deal with one team from the first viewing through to the morning after, which for couples juggling London jobs and wedding admin in the evenings is the whole point.

The Two Barns

The Tudor Barn is where the ceremony happens. It is a 16th-century timber-framed barn with original oak beams, carefully restored so the character is intact but everything works properly. It feels like somewhere with a story, which is not something you can manufacture.

The Granary is where the wedding breakfast takes place. Floor-to-ceiling glazing, antique cartwheel chandeliers, and enough flexibility in the layout to work for an intimate 40 or a full 120. Later, your evening guests head back across to the Tudor Barn for the music and dancing, which lets you keep the two halves of the day distinct.

Food That Justifies the Drive

Our in-house chefs build every menu from scratch with the couple. Ingredients are sourced locally from Sussex producers wherever we can, which tends to surprise London couples who are used to venues outsourcing their catering. You get tastings, real conversations about the menu, and on the day itself the food comes out of our own kitchen a few steps from where you are sitting.

Dietary requirements, allergies, plant-based menus and kids’ options are all part of the planning conversation, and we are well used to handling them.

Suppliers We Actually Trust

If you have already booked your photographer, florist and band from London, bring them. If you have not, we keep a list of suppliers we have worked with for years across Sussex and the South East. That includes photographers who know the light on the estate, florists who know our barns, and bands and DJs who know exactly where to load in. Using our recommendations is never a requirement, but it cuts out a lot of guesswork.

Accommodation So Nobody Has to Travel Home

This is the bit that matters most for London couples. We have a range of rooms across the estate, from the bridal suite to accommodation that can sleep your immediate family and closest friends. Book the night before for prep, the night of the wedding for the obvious reasons, and add extra nights if you want the weekend rather than just the day. Your guests wake up a few steps from where they danced the night before. You do not have to worry about one of them driving when they should not.
